Addis Ababa (Ethiopia Today) October 19, 2023: The Air Defense Equipment Maintenance Department of the Ethiopian Air Force has announced that it has built an air force capability “to effectively protect Ethiopia’s airspace 24 hours a day.”
Department head Colonel Teshome Bacha told state media that the air force’s capability has increased and that encouraging work has been done to organize the air force defense capabilities “more than ever” with “modern technologies and trained manpower.”
The Colonel added that the Ethiopian air force has been built to reliably guard the Ethiopian airspace with the help of modern weapons and qualified personnel.
Sitik Mitiku, a radar repair expert in the Ethiopian Air Force, said on his part that the Air Force is protecting Ethiopia’s airspace by using “up-to-date radar” equipment.
