Addis Ababa (Ethiopia Today), June 16, 2023: The Embassy of Indonesia in Addis Ababa hosted a seminar with the theme “Digital Transformation: Towards Collective Response to the Global Challenges” on the premises of the embassy.
In the seminar, an exchange of experience and consultation regarding digital transformation took place among digital scholars.

This year, 2023, Indonesia is the Chairman of MIKTA countries (Mexico, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Turkiye, and Australia).
Seminar attended by 100 participants from Ethiopian government officials, ambassadors, international organizations, academicians, youth, and media in a bid to enlighten the Ethiopian public of what really is MIKTA, the potential it has, and how exactly it can contribute to global governance, especially under Indonesia’s MIKTA Chairmanship 2023.
During the event, the first publication of MIKTA 2023, Addis Ababa magazine, with the theme “What is MIKTA?” was officially launched by the Ambassadors Victor Trevio (Mexico), Al Busyra Basnur (Indonesia), Kang Seokhee (Korea), Berk Baran (Türkiye), and Julia Niblett (Australia).

Ambassadors of the respected countries were advised to focus on using digital technology for peace building and economic integration.
Al Busyra Basnur, the Indonesian Ambassador to Ethiopia, said the five countries have been participating in international development and growth as well as administrative and global change.
MIKTA was established as a cross-regional grouping of G20 member nations in 2013, with the idea that, working together, we could bridge divides between developed and developing nations and build consensus on issues that would be relevant to all regions. As geographically, culturally, linguistically, and religiously diverse nations
